Simple Hacks to Make Life A Little Easier
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Ivory. The opinions and text are all mine.
Life is crazy, I think we all can agree no matter what phase of life you are in, life is hard, crazy, and never perfect. No matter how hard we strive for perfection, I don’t think many of us ever achieve it and guess what…THAT IS OKAY!! It is okay for life to not be perfect. It is okay for there to be days where everything seems to go terribly wrong. It is okay for your kids to be naughty sometimes, to fight with your husband, have financial problems, etc. WHY??? Why are all those things okay? Because without them, we wouldn’t know what it feels like to have the good days, the days everything falls into place, enough money in your bank account to pay all your bills without being worried, a day where your littles listen all day long. Those days wouldn’t be as amazing if we had them all the time. We also wouldn’t learn, we wouldn’t grow, strive to be better, etc.
I am the first to say my life is far from perfect. I struggle with King more than I would like to admit, we have financial troubles, fight, and our house is hardly ever clean. We have trials that come and go, have experienced loss of our best friend/brother, and so many other things. However, we learn from them, maybe cry and are mad for a while, and we move on to be better.
I have a few mama hacks for you to make our everyday life run a little bit smoother and easier. These might be tips you already do at your house, tips you might not have ever thought to do, or tips which maybe don’t work for your lifestyle and that is okay! If you have hacks I don’t list here which make your everyday life run a little smoother I would love to hear them in the comments!
1 – Pack snack bags to keep in your car and in your pantry. We use the gallon sized baggies and fill them with applesauce pouches, fruit snacks, fruit leather, nuts, etc. I put together 10-12 bags at a time and leave them in our pantry and a couple in the car. Then, when we are on the go and King needs a snack (or let’s be honest I do), I have something right there he can have and he even can pick which snack he wants. They are also perfect for when you are running out the door to soccer games, dance lessons, etc.
2 – Find your favorite products and stick to them. It is overwhelming to change and find new products. Once we started using Ivory, we have not switched products which makes grocery shopping so much easier. I have even learned right where Ivory is located on the shelf so I can walk right to it, put it in the cart, and then move on quickly. We stick with Ivory because we love how pure they are. I love knowing I can buy one product and it will work amazing for every member in our family. I know when we run out I am going to grab the Ivory Original 3-bar for Zach, Ivory Original Body Wash for King, and the Ivory Free & Gentle Body Wash with Pear & Sandalwood for myself. I love how the Ivory Free & Gentle Body Wash with Pear & Sandalwood contains the #1 Dermatologist-Recommended moisturizing ingredient!
3 – When you run out of a product at home, buy 2 when you go to the store. Now, when you run out of the product, you have a back up under your sink and don’t have to make another trip to the store. It also gives you more time to be able to repurchase the product again.
4 – This might be something we just have to do with King at our house, but it helps so much. We tell ourselves we have to leave 10 minutes before we really have to and then give King a 5 minute timer for him to be ready to go. This prevents so many meltdowns and then we still have 5 minutes to get his shoes on and load him into the car. 5 – Pack your bags the night before. I do this every night whether we have somewhere to be the next day or not. Having our bags ready to go if we need to run out the door makes it less stressful when we have those times we need to run out the door quick.
I hope these tips and tricks help you when it comes to making your imperfectly perfect life run a little smoother on the every day. Remember, life doesn’t need to be perfect, it can actually be far from it and that is okay. It really is better this way and helps us to appreciate the good times and moments so much more!
