Simple Ways to Make Grocery Shopping Easier.
Life I think for most people is pretty busy in this day and age. I often times feel overwhelmed with everything that I need to do. I told Zach the other day, “I run a full time business from home, I work as a nurse, I’m a mom, wife, building a house, and somehow with all of that I need to also get the laundry done, clean the house, have dinner ready, grocery shop, etc. I don’t know how I am supposed to do it all. I need some outside help.” Zach is seriously the best to help me with laundry, dishes, etc. but I feel like there is this pressure from society to somehow as a women manage all of those things plus help provide for your family. I have chatted with many other friends who are photographers, nurses, bloggers, etc. and they also feel this pressure. It is okay to have help, ask for help, and find things that work for your family. I have found something that is really helping my little family with our grocery shopping and I am so excited to share it with you and hopefully help you a little bit.
We are obsessed with Amazon at our house, who doesn’t love 2 day shipping? We are constantly doing orders, have a million products saved for later for when we just might need to purchase them, and buy everything from our laundry detergent to our groceries and even clothes on there. I always tell Zach that Amazon is my lifeline and saves the day more often than not. I had seen so many of my friends talking about how much they loved the Amazon Dash Buttons and I knew it was something that would help my family out so much with saving time and it was something that we needed to try ASAP. We ordered 3 different buttons to start (you should see our line up now) with items that I felt like we were constantly running to the store for. We did granola bars, Cheez-It’s and Tide Laundry Detergent. Please tell me I’m not the only one who is constantly running out of snacks and laundry detergent!? We ordered our buttons online for $4.99 and then when we made our first purchase with them we were given the $4.99 back (right now they have a deal where you pay $0.99 for your button and then get the full $4.99 back when you do your first purchase).
When the button comes, all you do is sync it with your internet and the app on your phone. Then when you need more of something, you simply just push the button and ta-da! It is ordered for you and you will get an email with the confirmation. Seriously the most amazing thing of my entire lifetime. Then as soon as I notice we are running super low (because I swear that is the only time I notice) on something I just simply push the button in the kitchen and it is on its way to my house.
This has been the biggest game changer in our family with my busy lifestyle. Between taking care of Matt, photo shoots, emails, writing posts, playing with King, making dinner, doing laundry, etc. having my groceries so easily taken care of is amazing. Plus with free shipping I am not worried about pushing an Amazon Dash Button every single day or multiple times a day when I realize that we are running low on something.
What are some of your tips and tricks to simplifying things with a busy lifestyle that need to be done? I would love to hear them! My life is so hectic to the point that my mom even told me that I need to find someone or something to help me to be able to do everything that I need to do ha, that is when you know that things are really out of control lol.
