The biggest request that I had for holiday content was a gift guide for your mother in law which you can find here, the second biggest request was small gift ideas for your girlfriends! This might just be my favorite post that I have put together. I shared on Insta-Stories a couple weeks ago that I like to purchase gift sets from places like Sephora or Ulta and then take them apart and package them up for my friends with pieces from some of them and other items. When I shared you guys asked for me to show you how to package them up so I am going to do the best I can and if you have any questions let me know!
Small gift ideas are always hard for me, my mom always says that I go over the top and so I have tried to rein it in a little bit the past few years. I had this idea a couple of years ago and loved it since. I love to order gift sets because they have smaller products and are a really amazing deal for the holidays.
These are the kits I purchased:
Bare Minerals Moxy Gloss
Becca Shimmer Set
EOS Lip Balm Set
What I do first is pull apart all of the gift sets, put them in stacks and see what I have. Then I make a list of the friends I need to give gifts to. I love to pull things like dollar bin at Target notebooks and pair them with a lipgloss or a different item from the gift sets to give it a little something else. It is also fun to put small gift ideas together by pulling different pieces from different gift sets together for a little “sampler” pack too. The possibilities are truly endless.
I love to stock up on gift sets and pair them also when I give a gift card to someone. We do gift card exchanges in our family for our extended family and it is fun to be able to pair them with them. I also love to keep them in what I call my “gift tote” and then when a friend or someone has a birthday it is fun to pair these small gift ideas with a cupcake or treat and deliver them to them!
I hope this helps you to know what to give for small gifts to your friends! This has been one of my favorite things to do during the holidays!
