Small Home Updates Make Big Changes for the Holidays
I can’t believe that the holidays are just around the corner. We could use all the extra cheer and happiness with what 2020 has brought so you better believe come November 1st we are going to be putting our Christmas out. We have been brainstorming on what we are going to do as far as seating goes in our living room because we have my family over on Christmas morning every year and want to make sure there is enough room for everyone and that they feel welcomed.
I want my living room to be a cozy place whether it is for every day life or for the holidays, I knew I wanted to close in the one side of my living room that is closest to our stairs a little bit. I wanted a piece(s) of furniture that would be cozy, you would want to snuggle up on, but also didn’t feel overly heavy in the room and wanted them to add texture. I’ve been searching for the perfect chairs on Joss & Main in their living room furniture category for a little bit now and am so excited to share with you what I finally landed on! They had so many amazing choices it took me a second to narrow down my favorites, create a mood board of the room and the feeling I wanted it to have, and actually commit.
When these chairs arrived I knew they could go either way, they either were going to be amazing or they were going to be rough in my living room. I started pulling them out of the box I knew they were GOOOOOD. The texture of the fabric is absolutely amazing and I love how the back isn’t heavy with how the “legs” are. This was a simple way to add 2 extra seats to our living room for Christmas morning but also it has quickly become my favorite spot to sit and watch my kids play, work on my computer, feed Rosie, and so much more.
My living room has such an inviting feeling to it now, it is cozy and has plenty of room for everyone to sit. I love that it has texture but still is simplistic letting the people that are in the room be the focus. I can’t wait to decorate it for the holidays and share with you how it all comes together!
