Isn’t it crazy that we all come from so many different places? Each with our own background, the things that have shaped us to be the people we are, react the way we do, and write our stories how we want to? Sometimes I look at King and hope that we are in the right place, writing his story the way that I need to, and that I am parenting him the best that I can for him. My sweet sister in law text me the other day after we had had a rough day, King and I. She wrote me and said that I may not be perfect, but I am the perfect mom for King. He picked me to come to, he could have picked trillions of other mamas and he picked me. When she wrote this honestly I giggled and told Zach “Somedays I wish he would have picked someone else”. I really don’t though. Whether King is here for me, or I am here for him, I have learned so much from that sweet boy. He has shaped and changed my life more than anyone or anything. 

I often times think of my mom and dad, how they raised me, how much I learned from them. I think about all the things that they have done for me, shaped me to be, and what my life is. I know that we were exactly where I needed to be when I needed to be there to learn those things. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason and that we are put in places with people crossing our paths for good or bad for a reason. 

I love this state necklace, I love that I can look down and know where I am from, what and where shaped me into the person that I am. I love that I look down to it and see my journey, the people that have came in and out of my life for different reasons and know they each held their own special meaning in my life.
