Umm, this sweet little boy is one! I can’t even believe it. We are getting everything ready for his birthday, and I have been packing up all of his clothes that are too small now. It is so fun yet so sad to go through everything and see how tiny he was and how big he is now. It is so hard to believe that babies are so tiny when they first come. It blows my mind how much they grow and develop during their first year. This is just one tote full of stuff, we have 11 totes (yes 11) of his clothes that he has outgrown. We are struggling to find space to put everything. Our totes have been overfilled and the lids pop off in the crawl space. I am so afraid I am going to get in there and there will be some gross nasty animals in there like spiders or a mouse. NASTY. I have been trying to find a solution to getting everything to fit and to consolidate our tote situation. I found these Ziploc® Space Bags® at Lowes and they have seriously saved my life from Zach ha. If I were to show you all the stuff we consolidated you would die. We have been organizing things by what size things are, what items they are, and whether they are gender neutral.
I love that they are so user friendly and that they protect against Bugs, Moths, Dirt, Mildew and Odors. This makes me not afraid to pull them out of the totes when I am looking for something. I also love that they are airtight, waterproof, and water tight so it doesn’t make me nervous storing them in my crawl space. I also can use them time and time again if I need to re-pack one or add stuff to one. First, snag all your baby clothes and separate them into seasons and sizes. You can also sort them by shoes, blankets, etc.
A little tip, don’t fill the bags past the fill line, if you fill them up too far there is a chance that they won’t seal properly. We don’t want to risk bugs people.Next, fill up the bags. I labeled mine on the outside which season it was, what size, and if it was clothes, blankets, burp cloths, etc. Once you have them filled to the fill line, just hook your vacuum hose up to the port and turn it on, the air will magically come right out of them. I have been able to fit triple in a tote since using Ziploc® Space Bags®. I love that Zioloc® cleaned up my crawl space and that it was such an easy way to do so.
Look at that space change people. Lastly, place the bags into your tote. You will be so surprised by the space that you now have. I labeled my totes on the outside and just wrote BABY and the SIZE. You can then put the nicely organized totes back where they belong and love the new space you have! These will change your life. You can find more inspiration on Ziploc® Space Bags® here. What would you use Ziploc® Space Bags® for?
