The warm summer weather has hit Utah (well last week it did, this week it is supposed to snow…) and we are loving playing outside, adventuring, and throwing rocks at trees/bushes/other rocks/into the water. Can you tell which of those things is King’s favorite? I have been loving finding him new summer clothes and myself new clothes because well, ours are still in storage and at this point it seems easier to buy a few pieces for all of us rather than dig through the piles and piles of boxes to find our summer stuff. We only need a few pieces because we are supposed to be moving into our home sometime in June so we won’t need very many to get us through the next month and a half.
Prints and colors for summers are my favorite. I love finding things that really stand out, are bold, and unique. I have been obsessed with the palm leaf print and so when I saw this dress at Old Navy I knew I needed it. I love the trend of layering tees under dresses again (hello 7th grade all over again). Let’s just not bring back the tee shirt with a tube top over it mmkay? I love that this dress can be worn with a tee under it for casual every day, it is long enough for chasing King, super comfy, and it can be dressed up by wearing a jacket over it to church on Sunday!
For King I knew the instant I saw this coral button up that it was made for him. This boy rocks colors like no ones business. I love that he can wear it with little denim shorts through the week, I can wash it up, and he can wear it with dress pants and a tie to church on Sunday. Then when I saw this tropical print flat brim hat for him, oh I grabbed it quick! King will wear hats when the sun is out because it keeps the sun out of his eyes ha. Any other time, he isn’t interested lately so I am loving that he will wear them so it protects his little face a little bit.
Old Navy has the cutest summer clothes for the whole family. I am always obsessed with their sandals for women and their shorts for little boys are always a hit. They have a Havana line and it couldn’t scream summer anymore! If you are in need of some clothes for your family, littles, or yourself for summer, trust me babe, hit up Old Navy. Affordable (this dress is on sale for $30), trendy, and wash up amazing…what more could a mama want!?
