TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF AS A MOM.

Life as King’s mom is sheer craziness every day. He is the busiest little toddler that keeps me on my toes constantly. We go from adventure to adventure when he is awake, and as soon as he falls asleep for naps or anything I run around like a maniac to clean my house, prep dinner, work some, start another load of laundry, vacuum, dust, etc. I rarely remember to take care of myself. When we are out and about I often find myself a mess. My hair isn’t done, my teeth not brushed, somedays I even forget to put my bra on (true story at church Sunday). This is the perfect life to me, but taking care of myself is a priority I need to make sure is being taken care of.
I always have a diaper bag with me full of things for King. The other day when I was cleaning out the diaper bag I thought to myself, I have everything for King in here that I am already carrying around with us always, why not put somethings for myself in here that can help me be a little bit more presentable or help me when I’m in a pinch. I have had my momma diaper bag survival kit in my bag for a few weeks now and have found that it is always saving the day.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
– A pouch or tin of some sort that will fit in your diaper bag, but not take up too much space
– Hair elastics
– A protein bar of some sort or a snack
– Gum
– Chapstick
– Drink mix if you love them like I do
– Bobby Pins
– GUM – I love the new new Extra® 35-stick pack in either Extra® Gum Spearmint or Extra® Gum Polar Ice®
– You can also add other things like safety pins, nail clippers, files, etc.
First, gather up your supplies. Then pack them inside your tin or pouch of your choice. Place it in your diaper bag and you are set. I love the new Extra® 35-stick pack because the packaging keeps my gum all together and not smashed or falling apart in my diaper bag. The packaging is also made from recycled materials which I love. I also love that it has 35 sticks so I can give Extra and get Extra when we are with friends or family. Where the packaging has more gum in it, I don’t have to worry about restocking my diaper bag as frequently which is perfect for this busy momma.
Do you have something in your diaper bag for you? Something that helps save you when you are in a pinch? I can’t wait to give these with my baby gifts to friends and family. Taking care of ourselves is something so important. If we don’t take care of ourselves, then we can’t fully take care of the ones we love. You can find the new Extra® 35-stick pack in the checkout lines at your local Walmart.

Gum is a must in every bag I have! Especially in a diaper bag when you find yourself more focused on your little one than your own needs! #client
