The Best Back To School Clothes for Kids

King is counting down the days until he starts preschool again and honestly I don’t blame him. I have always been a lover of all things back to school…everything from buying planners and notebooks to shopping for new clothes with my mom and grandma. I have always wanted to make a fun tradition to do with my own littles.

One thing I always loved shopping with my mom and my grandma was that they let me pick out my clothes, they let me pick the clothes that fit my style and reflected who I was and the things that I liked. I always knew that when I had kids I wanted to do that with my littles and let them pick out things that they loved and reflected the person that they are.

I took King back to school shopping online. I let him go through everything on OshKosh B’gosh and let him pick the things that he loved. The clothes that he wanted to wear to school. While it was hard to let the things that I wanted him to wear go, I know that when he gets dressed in the morning for school now he will get dressed a heck of a lot easier too.

The only jeans I really buy this little boy are OshKosh jeans. They have the adjustable waist band so they fit his little waist and long legs better than anything else that I have ever found. I love that they have a bunch of different cuts to fit different peoples styles, but our favorite are the skinny jeans. They also have different washes and colors so I can buy him the same style of pant in different washes/colors and know that they fit.

King picked out two flannel shirts for his tops and it made me laugh. His reasoning was pretty cute and he told me that he liked them because they are button shirts and one of them has a hood. (King is obsessed with hoods) I loved that he picked these because he can wear them buttoned up or he can wear them open with a tee shirt under it.

King had a pair of shoes just like this but a different color and he wore them into the ground last year. He loved them! He calls them his “worker” shoes and so when he saw them online we snagged them up really quick! I love that they hold up really really well and they do well in the cold/snow too!

I snagged the coupon code (Retail Code: 037958. Online Code: OKBG3478) so we could snag some more clothes with our budget and King thought it was the best that he could keep adding things to the cart!

We also love to go shopping together for his school supplies. He loves to go through the list and check them off while we are shopping for them. I let him pick some things off the list and he gets to pay at the check stand “by himself”. He loves the feeling of being independent and getting his own supplies for school!
