The Simple Service Project
I am so excited to finally be able to share my huge project I have been working on with you. I have poured my heart and soul into this project since JULY! Crazy right? We talked and talked driving to California this summer and I just kept saying how I wanted to spread some light, goodness, love, and to use my platform for a greater cause. He started telling me about his idea after we both sat and thought for a while and I just sat there and nodded with big eyes saying “uh huh” over and over so excited to have it all come to life. So…. what is it you ask?? Let me tell you!!
I am so excited to tell you all about The Simple Service Project. What it is, is 25 days of simple service acts that you can do by yourself, as a family, just with your littles, with your grandma, whoever! They are things that are really simple and easy for you to execute because I know if things get too complicated I completely shut down…anyone else? I want to make the world a brighter place and a little happier this time of year and this is the way that hopefully, we can all do that together. I have a downloadable calendar below that has everything on it for you to print out and hang on your fridge. It has all the service activities listed for you to do. There also is another sheet of paper you can download or just read over that has all the service activities explained a little more in depth if you need them to be. As you do the service projects, you can do them quietly on your own, post about them on social media stories, feeds, etc. (please use the #thesimpleserviceproject) I am so excited to see you spread a little goodness into the world with me this holiday season.
I truly wanted to make this as simple as possible for you so there is also a printable for postcards below (you just need to print double-sided) and for the treats on your porch for the delivery people.
I will be posting a video of my family doing each service act every morning on my Instagram & FB account too so that can help remind you.
I also want us to all come together this season and to provide Christmas to 5 families! Yes, 5! If you can please send your nominations of families that need a little love this Christmas that would be amazing. They don’t have to have financial, health, or other trials, it can be people who have had a rough patch, are in a depression, etc. I just want to lift some families up, share the love, and give a little bit more this season.
If you have a family you would like to nominate we will be taking nominations until December 10th. You can email a little story about the family you would like to nominate (local to Northern Utah please) to heybabe@danimarieblog.com.
If you would like to donate to the families (all money will go directly to the families to either purchase gifts or give them money to pay for bills) you can send any donation to donations@danimarieblog.com or VENMO to Zach Krum.
