Tips & Tricks to Layering Necklaces
A lot of you have noticed that I wear necklaces all day every day. They are something that I love wearing and I love having the simplicity of a beautiful piece. You babes ask for my tips and tricks to layering necklaces all the time so I finally was able to get my crap together and get a post done for you! I think a lot of it is not overthinking it and just rolling with it! I will start with that I buy all my necklaces from Made By Mary and they are the best quality and hold up amazing. I love that I can personalize them to whatever is something near and dear to my heart. I give them as gifts to everyone that I know and love that I am giving them a gift that has meaning to them.
Let’s chat about my tips and tricks to layering necklaces. First off, if they tangle that is okay, that is completely normal! You can just run your hands down the chains and it will untangle them quickly and easily!
3 Easy Tips to Layering Necklaces
1 – Wear dainty pieces if you are going to layer or only one statement piece with one dainty necklace. If you pair too many statement pieces it will look heavy and overwhelming. If you want to wear a statement piece only wear one and pair it with one dainty necklace. If you don’t want to wear a statement piece you can pair a few dainty necklaces all together and it will look light, simple, and beautiful.
2 – Wear different lengths. This is the biggest tip I have to making it easy. You don’t want to wear all the same length or it won’t look layered. I generally wear a 12-13 inch choker, a 16 inch necklace, & a 17 inch necklace. If I am feeling extra special I will layer a longer necklace with it too. When you go to put all your necklaces on just think about using different lengths!
3 – Wear them with the right tops. You don’t want to wear a bunch of layered necklaces with a top that has a lot to it. Keep it simple. Pair it with a v-neck tee shirt, a top that buttons down the front so you can see them. Try to stay away from tops that are really patterned or have a lot of ruffles, etc. and if you are going to layer or wear a necklace with one of those tops make sure to only wear one or two necklaces.
I hope this helps you to be able to layer your necklaces with confidence as silly as that sounds. I think a lot of it is just going into it keeping it simple and being confident with it!
