Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, One Year Old is What You Are!
I still am in shock two weeks later that my sweet girl is one year old. People always say that time goes by so fast but I don’t think I truly realized that until my second baby which is Lettie girl. Her party isn’t as big and extravagant as I thought it would be or as King’s teepee party was when he turned one, but guess what…it was perfect for our little family and that is all we needed! After feeling really guilty and being really stressed out I didn’t have it all together I see now looking back that her little party was exactly what we needed as a family. Anyways, I wanted to share the details with you about where everything was from so everything is linked below for you to click on and grab!
star garland || party hat || cake toppers – stars – moons ||
Lettie girl isn’t a girly froofy girl, but she is girly if that even makes sense. We always joke you couldn’t put a fancy dress on her because it just doesn’t suit her little personality. I wanted a lot of texture and corals in her party to make it girly but not fancy. The star garland and the party hat are where I drew all my inspiration from and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!
My sweet mom and dad hand cut out all the star and moon rice krispie treats. They were one of my favorite parts of her party because they were so simple & added texture to the tablescape.
The Cake
tall candles || one candle || star & moon toppers
The star and moon toppers were perfect, they are modern but not cheesy and that is exactly what I wanted. I wanted simple because that is what suits our Lou girl. I did tall pink candles for height on the cake that everyone ate and Lettie’s cake had star & moon toppers with a number one candle keeping it super simple.
acrylic happy birthday sign || tassel & glitter garland || felt ball & wooden bead garland
The garlands behind the table were so fun. I love that there was the clear glitter garland with tassels, wooden beads, felt balls, and texture with the star garland. All the garlands are hanging in her room now which I love that they served two purposes…her party and decor in her room afterwards.
The Food
The food for the party I wanted to keep really neutral so we did donut holes, white frosting on the cakes (Lettie’s cake rounds I custom ordered from the local grocery store to be plain rounds not frosted and it took a lot of stress off me for the party), glazed donuts, and then rice krispie treats!
All in all her party turned out exactly how it needed to and her smash cake pictures are what my dreams of having a little girl are made of. We love our sweet girl so much and can’t believe she is growing so fast!!!
