Ways to Take Care of Yourself Through The Chaos
The holidays are chaotic right? Then you throw on top motherhood, working, laundry, cleaning the house, dinners, etc. on top of that and instantly I am so overwhelmed and my life seems so chaotic. Anyone else feel this way? I find myself quickly shutting down to life, all my responsibilities, and honestly everything.
I feel like for King’s sake, my families sake, and honestly my own mental health I had to figure out some things to help prevent me from getting to that overwhelmed chaotic phase that I get stuck in. Life is always going to have some chaos to it, I don’t think it will ever go completely away, but knowing how to handle it and prepare for it is key in my book.
1 – This will probably sound silly but remember to eat! Often times when my days are overbooked eating is the last thing I have time for and remember to do. Warming up a Tai Pei Asian Food meal is something so easy for me to do. I can warm it up and eat in the car as I drive to my next meeting, errand, etc. I love that there are a ton of different flavors to keep my meals interesting and they are realistic for my every day life. Plus with their single servings it makes it easy to make enough for myself to eat on the go. Knowing that I am going to have a busy day, putting lunch and snacks into my calendar as silly as that sounds, and having realistic options on hand helps me so much to keep a clear mind and not get hangry.
– You can find Asian Food by Tai Pei with their store locator for Asian Food & use the coupon for frozen fried rice! –
2 – Having a list of things I need to do and where I need to be on paper is something that helps me more than you know. There is just something about writing it down for me that is game changing. Then when I am on a phone call through my car, driving, or doing something on my phone I can quickly glance at it. When I’m done with something I can X it out and it is so motivating to know that I have something else finished.
3 – Giving myself grace when something doesn’t go as planned, my house is a mess because we weren’t home all day, etc. is what truly saves my sanity. Everything isn’t going to go perfectly all the time and setting those expectations up for myself ahead of time let’s me be prepared for something to go off schedule or wrong and to be okay with it when it does.
I hope this helps you to plan around the chaos and craziness of motherhood and everything else this time of year. You are amazing mama, and the fact that you care means that you are even more amazing!
