I think that booties are a staple in everyones fall wardrobe. I know they are something that I pull out over and over again wearing them every day. I have a few pair and it seems like with the few that I have they match every single thing in my closet. It has been super cold in Utah lately and so I have been wearing them even more than normal. One of my favorite ways (probably the only way) that I wear booties is to wear taller socks with them. It is something that really polishes off the look of wearing them and is simple to do. Plus it keeps your feet warmer so who would be against that?

How to Style Socks with Booties
The first way that I love to wear my booties is with leggings and an oversized sweater. This is such a cozy look that works for every day life for me. I love that I can wear this to run errands, play on the floor with my kids, or even head out on girls night. When wearing an oversized sweater make sure that the bottoms that you are wearing are form fitting so you don’t loose your shape in your outfit or look “frumpy”. I then paired this look with some cream tall socks that I pulled all the way up and then scrunched them down with my leopard booties.
How to Style Socks with Booties with a Dress
The second way that I would wear my socks with booties is with a dress to church on Sunday. I feel like for me personally I don’t like the look of booties on me without socks especially when wearing a dress. I have really small ankles so the booties just look funny on me without socks. I paired a summer dress with a chunky cardigan over the top to make it warmer for winter time and then wore my go to leopard booties with the cream tall socks scrunched down.
How to Style Socks with Booties: Dressed Up
The last way that I would pair my socks with booties is dressed up! I love wearing turtlenecks tucked into my jeans, I feel like it is such a polished look that can so easily be dressed up or down. I wanted this look to be dressed up more so I paired it with some black tall socks that I scrunched down and some black booties. Wearing the black tall socks with the black booties almost gives them the look of a sock bootie which I always want to snag but aren’t realistic for my closet where I don’t dress up a ton. This is a simple way to achieve that look with wearing a pair of booties that you already have.
I hope this helps you to be able to pair your tall socks with booties and know what pieces to pull to wear with it. It is such a cozy look that I am completely obsessed with for winter time!
