Weekend Recap – Carving Pumpkins & The Surprise that Showed Up At Our House…
This past week has been a crazy one for our little family. This time of year is so fun and so crazy at the same time. I love everything that comes with the holidays but also need to make sure that I am scheduling down time for my family too because this mama needs it and I’m pretty sure that my kids do as well.
Last Thursday my littles and myself went to an amazing event put on in Utah by Zero Fatalities. My kids were on the news and they thought that was the coolest thing ever. Zero Fatalities are handing out reflective bags for FREE at any Associated foods stores or your littles to trick-or-treat with. This is amazing because kids can be seen by cars a lot easier. Seriously how cool is that that they care enough about our littles to give these bags out for free to keep our kids safe. – You can see our news story here –
We carved pumpkins with the kids on Saturday night. King had a blast carving different faces into his pumpkin like an angry face, grumpy face, and a happy face. It was so fun to watch his little creativity go wild.
King has wanted a spooky so badly lately. Zach took him shopping to somewhere we had a gift card to and let him buy this big coffin skeleton that was on SALE for $100!!! King names him “boney the owner” and now thinks he needs to be in every family picture with us and it better be at the price it cost!
My dad showed up on our porch on Sunday with a surprise for my kids… he freaking showed up with BLOW UP HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS FOR OUR YARD. If you know anything about me, then you will know that I love to see them in other people’s yards but not my own. King has been loving to go drive around and look at them everywhere we go. Bless my sweet moms heart she has been on the hunt for them to go on sale and sent my dad up with everything including an extension cord and hammer to set them up. They truly are so good to my kids, I can’t even tell you how grateful that I am for them.
This week is going to be another crazy week but so full of memories for our little family and I am going to do my best to soak in every minute of them!
