5 Indoor Activities to Keep Your Kids Busy in the Winter
Winter time is here and we are all getting a little stir crazy being in the house all day. King has needed some new things to do inside and to be honest I have too. You can only play Lego dinosaurs so long before you need to switch it up a little bit. I came up with some new activities for us to do at home while we are freezing and all snowed in here in Utah! I hope that these help you to have some new ideas to do at home with your littles while it is cold.
1 – Freeze Dance Parties
This is something that is so simple to do and gets both you and your little ones moving. I let King tell Alexa what song to play and then we take turns pausing the music to freeze to it. Simple, fun, and nothing needed!
2 – Racing Matchbox Cars with Straws
We just recently started to do this and have so much fun. We just take straws and blow air at the Matchbox car and race them!
3 – Obstacle Course Around the House
This is King’s favorite. We set up an obstacle course with pillows, barstools, cups, and so much more and race around the house. Sometimes if I am needing to get something done or don’t want to run I will set a stopwatch and see how fast he can do it!
4 – Race Car Track with Tape
I love letting him do this because it doesn’t make a mess or anything. I just give him a roll of masking tape and let him make tracks for his cars all around the tile. It lets him be creative & play at the same time.
5 – Baking Competition
This one I have the hardest time to pump myself up for because of the mess but we have the best time doing it once I gear up for it ha. He loves baking competitions and making his own creations. He asks every day if we can make daddy a birthday surprise for when he gets home and so he loves to make different cakes, cupcakes, cookies, etc. and decorate them!
