5 TIPS & TRICKS TO WORKOUTS AT HOME & HEALTHY EATING.

I have been really trying hard to live a healthier lifestyle. I am always told that I am so little and such, but boy oh boy does that not mean that I am healthy. I am so out of shape, eat fast food for every meal, and can down a 12 pack of my favorite soda in a day. I am beyond unhealthy. I have been working hard to change my lifestyle, to be healthier for myself, and my family. I want to be able to teach King how to make good choices on what he is eating, be able to chase him around, and love my body and take care of it like I do because it does so much for me. I wanted to share with you some tips, tricks, websites, etc. that I have found really have helped me in striving for a healthier lifestyle.
A T H O M E W O R K O U T S – I don’t feel like I have time to go to the gym, and if we are real honest, I don’t feel like I can go to the gym and leave King in the child care there. It honestly scares the pants off of me. I do however, love to workout at home during nap time. It keeps me motivated to be a better mom and to really take care of my body. I have found a few programs that I love that let you work out at home. First off is Marci Barker. I am part of her Body Sculpting Challenge right now and also her Healthy Eating Challenge (I will talk about this one in a second). It is the most affordable option that I have found, and even though the price may make you think that it can’t be great, it is amazing. She gives you workouts every day, different challenges to focus on every week, and really makes sure that you know that she is there for you. It is only $14.95. Amazing right? Affordable, amazing workouts, and so much information and learning. Next, I am sure you have heard of, is Kayla Itsines. She has bikini body guides that are a great workout. I own them and did them for a long time before I found Marci. I loved them, but love that you have to check in with Marci everyday to stay accountable, which I need right now to stay motivated until it is a habit. People swear by these workouts and her app though. A blogger that I love that has amazing at home crossfit workouts that you can do with your kiddos too is Simply Sadie Jane. She is a dear friend of mine, and I love to do her workouts when I am needing a little variety in my life.
S N A C K S – Always, always, always have a good quality snack or two, or three with you at all times. I love to always carry a water bottle with me so I am not tempted to stop and grab a soda, a fruit, and then some type of bar. I love the goodnessknows® snack squares. H E A L T H Y M E A L S – This one has been the hardest for me. It is just so much easier to drive through the drive through or grab fast food for dinners. I have found that if you keep a plan, and stick to it, that you will be a lot more successful in eating healthier meals. I am a part of Marci Barkers Healthy Eating Challenge also and I love it. You have the option to buy her Meal Plans too, which really help, but aren’t required. She doesn’t give you a specific diet to stay by, rather than teaches you what you are putting in your body, what ingredients to look for, and what good alternatives are. She has weekly challenges that don’t overwhelm you with everything at once so you can learn step by step how to eat healthy and cook healthy. Snacks are a big thing in her class and that is why I love that the goodnessknows® snack squares fit right into it. I also love Jenna’s Kitchen 7 day meal plan with recipes and Clean Eats & Treats book on eating clean. These help me to be successful in eating healthy with our meals.
T A K I N G T I M E F O R Y O U – I think that this is the biggest one to having a healthy lifestyle. If you are not taking care of you and making sure that you are loved, have time for your self, and all of that, you aren’t able to take care of others the best that you can. I take time to work out for myself every day, bath every night, and check social media before I go to bed. I also love to indulge in goodnessknows® snack squares) while I watch TV in bed. It doesn’t matter what you do, as long as it is taking time for YOU. You are the most important, don’t let yourself fall between the cracks taking care of everyone else.
L O V I N G Y O U R S E L F – I think that it is so important that we love ourselves. It isn’t always easy and it isn’t easy to get there trust me. But if you love your self and are not worrying about what others think about you, you will live a happier life. I started by telling myself every day that I am beautiful, I am strong, I am brave, and I can do this. I didn’t believe myself at first and often felt silly, but trust me it works. If you keep saying it to yourself every day your body will trust you and believe it at some point. Then, your life will be so much happier because you love yourself.
