How I Count My Macros With A Busy Lifestyle.
As many of you know I made a goal for a healthy lifestyle. I have made a lot of lifestyle changes and I am excited to share them with you. It has been a big learning curve in deciding what was working for me and my lifestyle. There has been a lot of trial and error, failing, and finding my success, but guess what that is okay and I knew it would happen.
I knew that to start a healthier lifestyle the first step for me needed to be changing what I eat. I had heard so many people I love and trust talk about counting macros and I knew it was something that I needed to start doing for myself. I hired a coach to help me figure out the best things and numbers for myself. It was really overwhelming to me to try to figure it out on my own. When I received my numbers I was super overwhelmed…I didn’t know what to eat, what would fit into my numbers, and even where to start. I failed over and over again until my sweet friend Erica from Clean Simple Eats sent me her meal plan that is full of recipes and fit my macros exactly. It was seriously a game changer for me. I knew what to buy at the grocery store, what to make for my family, and even what to eat for snacks. GAME CHANGER.
Once I had it figured out it truly became a lot simpler. I had a lot of failing, and honestly still do some days. That is okay though. It is okay to have off track days, to fail, and to have days where your numbers line up exactly. I knew if I was too strict to myself, didn’t let myself fail and pick myself up again then I would fall off the bandwagon too quickly and quit. Once I had it figured out then I started to branch out more. I really have to be smart when I leave the house in what snacks I buy. It is all about preparing ahead of time. I buy sauce cups off of Amazon for super cheap and fill them with nuts, berries, etc. I always have protein bars in my car, etc. It truly is all about being prepared and knowing what you need for the day as you run out the door. I leave a stash of food in my car so the days when I forget I am prepared.
I have found that when I am eating healthier that I want to workout, I want my body to be healthy and it all comes so much easier for me. I also know that getting new workout clothes is something that really motivates me. I am obsessed with Senita Athletics lately and love how affordable they are but also such good quality. My leggings and jacket are from them in this post and both under $40. You need them babes.
What have you found helps you to stay on track? What are some tips and tricks that you have?

This is something I am new too and struggle with! I have such a hard time because my husband is trying to gain weight and I am trying to lose weight! So it’s hard to find a balance there. What are some of your go-to snacks for protein? That is where I am always low!
