On The Go Macro Friendly Adult Snackbox
Raise your hand if you feel like the summer months have you on the go more than any other month (hand raised). In the summer time I also swear that I am a lot more health conscious on what I’m eating. I don’t know if it is the fact that it is swimsuit season or if fruits and veggies seem more desirable when it is super hot outside, but either way I love that I am a lot more careful what I put into my body. I wish it stuck all year long, which I really try for, but it just is a lot more effortless in the summer months.
Being on the go and in and out of meetings, appointments, etc. all day has helped me to really figure out the best ways to get my macros in while I am out and about. Protein is always something that is a little low on my numbers and I am always striving to get more of. In the winter months and before it is too warm outside it is easy to throw a protein bar in your car, however that gets old if you ask me eating protein bars all the time and they start to get all metly and squishy in the summer months so who wants that? I have found something that I love even more than the go to protein bar that everyone loves and I am pretty darn sure that you are going to love it more than that too.
Lorissa’s Kitchen is a brand that I met a few years ago at a blogging conference. I was able to try all of their different kinds and instantly fell in love with the first bite I took. It wasn’t “hard” like other brands that I had tried in the past, it was absolutely full of flavor, and something that I knew needed to be a staple in my diet. The darling girl at their booth told me that Lorissa’s Kitchen was founded on a passion for great tasting food using ingredients you can find right in your own kitchen, and I knew that was true on my first bite. I was able to try all the flavors, was sent “home” with a few that barley made it back to the hotel room before they were gone, and knew that I was a Korean Barbeque fan forever and always with Ginger Teriyaki coming in a close second. Lorissa’s Kitchen is the perfect prep-free protein snack for my busy on the go lifestyle. I love that they only use responsibly raised proteins and responsibly raised pork.
As a mama I don’t have much time to grab a good macro friendly lunch/snack as I am running out the door. I have learned what my personal staples are and what I need to have with me to make pretty choices when it comes to my diet. I am so excited to share with you how I make my adult lunch box that is macro friendly and hope it helps you just a little bit too!
What You Will Need:
Water Tumbler
Baggies
Carrots
Sweet Potato Chips
Lorissa’s Kitchen – make sure to snag the coupon for Kroger at the bottom of this post to snag some on sale!
Cheese Stick
I grab my baggies (I love the re-usable ones for my snack bags) fill them full of the carrots & sweet potato chips first, next I fill up my water tumber and put a little bit of flavor in my water, grab my cheese stick, and then my Lorissa’s Kitchen out of the cupboard. Then I throw them all in my bag just that quick and I am ready & set for a day full of making macro friendly choices in my snacking. Lunch, well that might be a different story, but snacking is truly so easy to grab.
I hope this helps to make your mornings/days a little bit easier when it comes to snacking. I always love to see what is working for everyone else so I was so excited to share what works for me. I am so honored to get the chance to work with a company that I love so much after meeting them a few years ago. I would love to hear what your go to snacks are for when you have a busy day and are snacking on the go!
