3 Ways To Turn Your Regular Makeup Into A Holiday Look
I love having an excuse to wear more glammed up makeup. The holidays are the perfect time to do that. I love to throw some glitter on my eyes, a bold red lip, and to give my cheek bones a little more highlighter. I’m excited to share today’s holiday makeup routine with you and how easy it is to just add 3 things to your regular makeup look to give it a more glam look.
How to Turn Everyday Makeup Into Holiday Makeup
My regular makeup routine consists of the products below and is really quick and simple. I generally put things on in the following order:
Moisturizer
CC Cream
Becca Eye Brightener
Concealer
Powder
Bronzer
Bronzer on crease of eyelid
Blush
Mascara
Brows
Lipgloss
It is so simple and quick to take your regular makeup routine and to add a little glitter & bold lip to it to really dress it up for the holidays. These products are things that you may have on hand already or you can snag and put up for special occasions. If you don’t wear bold makeup looks very often I wouldn’t splurge on any of these items, I would go to Target and snag them there!
|| 1 – ADD GLITTER TO YOUR EYES ||
Anyone who knows me knows I am obsessed with my Stila glitter shadows. They are amazing and don’t have any fall out. I love putting it on my eyes for when I want to dress up a little bit. It takes only a few seconds to put it on and it really makes your eyes pop. I also have used the PIXI beauty glitter and love it too, plus it is a lot cheaper than the Stila!
|| 2 – ADD A LITTLE EXTRA HIGHLIGHTER ||
Putting a little extra highlighter above your cheekbones can give you the perfect glow, it also helps to balance out the glitter on your eyes if you are worried about that. I generally put highlighter above my cheekbones, down the center of my nose, and on my cupids bow of my lips. When I am dressing up a little bit more I like to just add a touch more.
|| 3 – GIVE YOURSELF A BOLD LIP ||
A bold lip really transforms a look. I am pretty self conscious of a bold lip, but love to pull out my favorite red long lasting lipstick when it is the holidays. I need to be braver and wear it more often, but right now the holidays is great ha. Make sure to line your lips with a liner so it doesn’t bleed and if you are going to go with red I would make sure it is a liquid long-lasting lipstick!
I think the biggest thing is to just really have confidence in the look that you are wearing and to rock it! I promise you look beautiful, push yourself a little bit out of your comfort zone this holiday season with your makeup.
